Grid View

Grid view is a Chrome extension allowing you to view all the participants of your meeting. Please make sure you are using Chrome, you are logged in with your @ebnola address and the synchronization is on.

Grid View works only on computers running Google Chrome or Chromebooks. It will not work on other browsers nor on a tablet or a phone.

Start your meeting normally. In the upper right corner of the Meet window, you should see a grid, next to the participants icon.

If Grid View has not been installed automatically, you can install it manually at:
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/google-meet-grid-view/bjkegbgpfgpikgkfidhcihhiflbjgfic
There is also a Firefox version at:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/google-meet-grid-view/?src=search

If you hover your pointer on top of that grid, you should see the different options available.

– “Only show participants with video” hide audio-only participants from the grid. You can still get in touch with them through the participants list.

– “Highlight speakers” color the edges of the speaking participant’s window in green.
– “Include yourself in the grid” adds your cam to the others on the screen. Select the proper options to activate them.

If you click on the icon, you will switch the grid on and off. The crossed out icon means the grid viewer is off.
