Founded in 1998, Ecole Bilingue de la Nouvelle-Orléans (EB) provides an
independent, multicultural, and bilingual education for Louisiana students ages 18 months through 8th grade. EB offers the opportunity for French Immersion schooling set in small class settings, with an emphasis on individualized attention and creative development for every student. CURRENT OPPORTUNITIES

U.S. MATH TEACHER – Middle School division

Ecole Bilingue seeks a qualified, full time Mathematics teacher for its English language track for the 2023-2024 school year. The math teacher will work alongside the French lead teacher of the same grade to build and implement an innovative and creative curriculum. This position requires a Bachelor or Master Degree, preferably in English, education or its equivalent in a related degree, and at least three years of full-time teaching experience as a lead teacher, preferably (but not required) in a language immersion setting. While French is not a requirement for the position, knowledge of French is a plus and an appreciation for the acquisition of World Languages and global experiences is a must. STEM TEACHER

Ecole Bilingue seeks a qualified, full time STEM teacher for the 2023-2024 school year. Under the direction of the Academic Director, this position is responsible for implementing the STEM program and STEM elementary and middle school program. This position is also responsible for collaborating with teachers in promoting and incorporating interdisciplinary STEM activities into the core curriculum. Candidates must be willing to teach Middle School Math.

Qualifications:

  • Masters in Mathematics, Science, STEM or related field preferred; National Board Certification a plus

  • Evidence of at least three (3) years of exemplary classroom teaching experience

  • Excellent communication skills

  • A proven track record in the use of a rich array of instructional methods, the analysis and use of data and technology to improve instruction, and the ability to build professional relationships, solve problems, and plan collaboratively

  • Evidence of productive experience with problem-based learning

  • Evidence of planning, organization, and time management skills that will bring structure and accountability to the position

  • Proven ability to apply science and/or math content knowledge, formative assessment, and technology integration at a high level

  • Deep understanding of student learning theory, brain-based learning, and differentiated instruction

  • Proven ability to collaborate with teachers regarding student learning

  • Desire to continue learning “what works” in classroom instruction

english language arts teacher – lower school division

Ecole Bilingue seeks a qualified, full time Lower School teacher for its English language track for the 2023-2024 academic year. The Lower School Teacher will be the lead teacher for English Language Arts and American Math and will work alongside the French lead teacher of the same grade to build and implement an innovative and creative curriculum. Experience with Units of Reading and Writing (Teachers College – Lucy Calkins) is a plus. This position requires a Bachelor or Master Degree, preferably in elementary education or its equivalent in a related degree and at least three years of full-time teaching experience as a lead teacher, preferably (but not required) in a language immersion setting with elementary-aged children. learning specialist

Ecole Bilingue is seeking an enthusiastic, innovative, and qualified full-time Learning Specialist for its 2023-2024 school year. The Learning Specialist would enhance our Education Resources Department, a department that will include French and English-track faculty, resources teachers, administration and tutors. The mission of the Education Resources Department at Ecole Bilingue is to identify and reduce barriers to learning through case management, collaboration and consultation with classroom teachers, and partnership with parents. substitute teachers

Ecole Bilingue seeks qualified and dedicated substitute teachers for our 2023-2024 Substitute Roster. Substitute teachers provide classroom coverage for faculty members who may be absent.  Class sizes range from 14-20 students.  The position requires at least three years experience in academic and/or educational settings, strong classroom management skills and excellent written and oral communications. While French is not a requirement for placement on the Substitute Roster, knowledge of French and/or French culture is a plus, and an appreciation for the acquisition of World Languages and global experiences a must. Aftercare Staff

Ecole Bilingue is seeking Aftercare Staff for ages 18 months – 4ème (8th grade) who can engage with children through play, scheduled activities, and games. Candidates should have the ability to communicate in a positive manner with the parents, arrive on time, and communicate with parents, students, and the extended day staff members. Candidates should be organized, flexible, and willing to take on new responsibilities. Knowledge of French or French culture is a plus, but not required.
