Annual Giving

Ecole Bilingue’s Annual Giving Fund is a vital source for school growth and prosperity, as it allows us to offer special programming and opportunities that go beyond what tuition covers. Annual Giving is a way for parents, grandparents, teachers, and friends to contribute in a way that is fully tax-deductible. These donations are applied to the current year’s budget, so they directly benefit our children, this year.

Gift for the Annual Fund are welcomed all year but emphasize during four key event:

Give EB Day in October

Giving Tuesday in November

Grandparents Day in the Spring.

GiveNOLA Day, which takes place this year in May, 2022. GiveNOLA Day, hosted by the Greater New Orleans Foundation, is the city’s largest online philanthropy event.

Capital Campaigns

Brand Exploration1

In 2014, the school kicked off M.E.R.C.I.  – Mission to Expand, Renovate, Create and Inspire – as a long-term, comprehensive campaign for our students to learn, explore, practice and perform in expanded facilities that set Ecole Bilingue apart from the other schools in the region. The results of the campaign’s first phase were outstanding, allowing us in 2016 to completely renovate Fabian Hall as a middle school and administrative building; transform the auditorium and art area of the L’Elémentaire building; and designate a library, STEM lab, music room, and much more.

In 2019, Ecole Bilingue once again expanded its campus with the second phase of our capital campaign: M.E.R.C.I. Beaucoup. We now have a fourth building dedicated to excellence in French-American education! The CENTER FOR ARTS & ATHLETICS is a state-of-the-art facility for literary, culinary, and visual arts. It features a library, art studio, state-of-the-art kitchen, and dining hall as well as a dedicated space for many types of athletic activities. Located directly on Magazine Street, this building has strengthened our school’s status as an institution in the City of New Orleans.

Although we are not currently in a robust Capital Campaign, we are actively raising funds for the renovation of the Pauline Canter at 4219 Constance Street. This building will include multiple class rooms including and STEM and Music room in addition to our administrative offices. If you are interested in supporting this capital project of renovating the Administration building, please reach out to Brittany St. Sauveur, Director of Advancement.

Community Relief Fund:  This Fund was established in 2020 to help our Ecole Bilingue families manage the personal impacts of COVID. This Fund is to be used to help families who find themselves unable to cover tuition, the lunch program, or other school essentials. Help our community weather COVID together.

Hurricane Relief Fund: With climate change impacting the frequency and severity of hurricanes, these destructive and debilitating storms are our new reality. However, we weather these storms together as a community. The one thing we are is stronger together. We are resilient, resourceful, and resolute as a community and we will persevere, together.

The Hurricane Relief Fund ensures Ecole Bilingue can provide housing for displaced staff (many of whom have support systems outside of the United States), pay salaried and hourly staff, and be a stable source of comfort for student’s mental and physical wellbeing during these tumultuous times. These funds are protected and can only be “unlocked” with a Board of Directors vote. Help us prepare for the 2022 hurricane season.
